Learn through our displays

Permanent displays are constructed outside the Marine Centre aimed to create awareness of the damage happening to marine life. These are made from from polystyrene, plastic, and other non-biodegradable items found on our beach and in the sea.

Our sculptures of recycled plastic are particularly popular with our younger audience, which sends them a strong message about the types and amount of pollution we are responsible for.

We also have painted marine life all over the Marine Centre walls. Come in, we even have a quiz you can do!

We accept items such as old boards for more displays, and other things such as large nets and rope are repurposed or recycled. This way we are eliminating harmful plastics from our oceans.
